Ajagun Goes For Flying Antelopes’ Scalp

Niger Tornadoes’ striker, Abdulrasheed Ajagun, has declared that his side is ready to take on Enugu Rangers on Saturday (today) when both sides confront in a Week Four tie of the Globacom Premier League.
Ajagun, who made a switch from troubled Nasarawa United to the Minna-based Premier League side, told Naijaligue.blogspot.com that he expects the trip to the Abakaliki Township Stadium to be fruitful.
The pacy striker still rues the fact that Niger Tornadoes failed to kill off Ranchers Bees last week after dominating the game for longer spells. The game ended goalless.
But Ajagun knows that the trip to Abakaliki is a tricky one though he is optimistic that Niger Tornadoes is capable of grabbing a result against the Flying Antelopes.
“We started the season very, very well when we beat Gombe United by 2-1 in Gombe,” began Ajagun, who scored Niger Tornadoes’ opening goal in that game. “But we did not follow up that performance in our game against Ranchers Bees. We played very, very well but we could not score and that was why we ended up playing goalless and getting one point at home. I was really disappointed with that outing.”
The petite striker is also excited that he has been able to settle in at Niger Tornadoes after his difficult period in Lafia with Nasarawa United, which was relegated to the National Division I League last season.
Ajagun explained to Naijaligue.blogspot.com that he found it easier to settle down in Minna since he had played for Niger Tornadoes in the past
“I am happy to be back in Minna again. It was a difficult time playing for Nasarawa United last season and I felt bad when we were relegated before the end of last season. But I have settled down here (in Minna) and I am ready to help the club do well this season. It is easy for me here because I have played with Tornadoes before,” he rapped on.
