Struggling Nigeria Premier League (NPL) side, Jos University Teaching Hospital (Juth) Football Club, could name a new head coach this week, SuperSport.com has learned.
An official of the club, who prefers to remain anonymous, told SuperSport.com that the club management has shortlisted three coaches for the vacant position of head coach.
But the official said he is in the dark over the identities of the shortlisted coaches since the management is keeping the names close to its chest.
The official, however, said interviews for the coaches will be conducted either on Wednesday or Thursday. “I can tell you that the management of Jos University Teaching Hospital Football Club has shortlisted three candidates for the job of head coach. I know that before the end of this week a new coach will be named and I will keep you posted on the development.
“The coaches will be interviewed on Wednesday or Thursday before a new coach is appointed for our team. But I'm hopeful a new coach will be named this week," said the official.
The Healers sacked their head coach, Tunde Abdulrahman, in the wake of their 1-4 loss to Ocean Boys in Yenagoa on February 16.
Abdulrahman was sacked alongside his three assistants Joshua Stephen, Tony Ubaka and Audu Issa Pele. Youth team coach, Dairo Adeyemi, has been in charge of the Juth FC seniors since the sack of their technical crew last week.
