Ajani eyes quadruple honours

Nigeria Premier League (NPL) top scorer, Ibrahim Ajani (pictured), has set his sight on winning three trophies and an individual award in spite of Sunshine Stars' capitulation at Warri Wolves on Sunday.

Ajani told SuperSport.com that their 0-2 loss to Wolves at the Warri City Stadium in a Week 28 tie has not dampened his dream of picking four honours this year.

The former Enyimba attacking midfielder views his team's loss on Matchday 28 as a minor setback to his ambition.

The Sunshine Stars man said he wants to win the league, the Orange Caf Confederation Cup, the Federation Cup (FA Cup) and the league's top scorer award.

"My dream is to win the league and the highest goal scorer's award. Also I want to win the Confederation Cup and the FA Cup.

"Yes we lost to Warri Wolves doesn't mean that we're not a good team. Now we are top of the table and we want to stay there though it will be tough," Ajani said.

The petite Sunshine Stars playmaker, who leads the goal scorers' chart with 12 goals, is confident that he and his colleagues can win the treble - NPL, Federation Cup and Orange Caf Confederation Cup.

Sunshine Stars lead on the Premier League log with 54, same as Dolphins but edge their rivals to second place with a superior goals difference.

On Matchday 29, Sunshine Stars will play host to Kaduna United at the Gateway International Stadium in Ijebu-Ode on Sunday.
