Baraje predicts photo-finish in title race

Dolphins assistant manager, Zachary Baraje, believes that this season's Nigeria Premier League (NPL) title race will go down to the wire.

The league's two top sides, Dolphins and Sunshine Stars, continue to go head-to-head in a bid to win the title this term during their Matchday 31 games on Wednesday.

Dolphins beat Juth 2-0 in Port Harcourt while Sunshine Stars edged Crown FC 2-1 at home in Ijebu-Ode.

According to Baraje, both sides have shown they need the title more than the rest of the chasing pack.

“The title race is certainly between ourselves (Dolphins) and Sunshine Stars because when you look at the results so far you will see that we both want it more.

“Then again, as an insider I can tell you that at the end of the season, Dolphins will be crowned league champions and I know what I am talking about,” Baraje said.

“We will continue winning like we did against JUTH and we will do our best to continue getting points away from home. Sunshine Stars will not win the league and we know it.”

Dolphins and Sunshine Stars are tied on 60 points but the latter have better goals difference.

But Dolphins however have a game in hand at home to Crown FC.
