Emordi applies for 3SC job

Former Enyimba head coach, Okey Emordi has shown interest in handling another Nigeria Premier League (NPL) side, 3SC.

Emordi last month resigned his appointment as head coach of Enyimba after the side came close to winning the Federation Cup and the Caf Champions League last season.

SuperSport.com was informed that Emordi’s application for the head coach job at 3SC was sent “on his behalf.”

“Yes I can confirm that there is an application from Okey Emordi, which was sent on his behalf,” a source in the club confirmed.

The official also disclosed that Fatai Amoo, who steered the side to safety in last season’s campaign, is also in the race for the head coach job.

“Fatai Amoo is still in the race to reclaim his job too. And there are other top coaches who have called to signify interest in the job and we are still expecting their application.

“It is expected that before the season starts next year we will be able to appoint a coach who will start off the pre-season programme for the club,” SuperSport.com was told.

3SC finished in 15th position in the final standings last season with 47 points.
