Agbim makes The Predictor's XI

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Chigozie Agbim (pictured), is one of the new players named in The Predictor's XI for Matchday Nine.

Other new entrants are Abdulrazak Yahaya, Chinedu Efugh, Yau Hassan, Abdulrasak Aliyu, Musa Najare, Ifeanyi Ede and Okiki Mosampa.

Agbim, who made his debut for Enugu Rangers in the top flight against Kano Pillars at the weekend, proved to be a leader in defence as he helped his team to a 4-0 win.

It is now clear why Rangers fought all through to win the goalkeeper's signature after a bitter tussle with Warri Wolves, who are legitimate owners of the Nigerian international.

Kaduna United's Yahaya was a class act in his side's 1-0 win over El-Kanemi Warriors. He made life tough for his opponents playing from right-back.

Centre-backs ThankGod Ike and Efugh put in massive shifts in the victories for Warri Wolves and Heartland respectively and complete a three-man backline in this matchday team.

Hassan and Aliyu proved the best defensive midfielders in my book in the games played at the weekend. No wonder they played the full minutes for their clubs in which they excelled.

I have decided to play Ede and Isah Akor as wide men due to their intelligence and pace off the ball which they exhibited for their teams on Sunday though they played up front.

There is no doubt that Dele Olorundare, Mosampa and Najare were among the best marksmen in Week Nine of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), and deservedly they are in my team after their matchday performance.

Okey Emordi makes my team for the second time this season and he edges the likes of Dominic Iorfa (Lobi Stars), Gbenga Ogunbote (Sharks) and Ndubuisi Nduka (Heartland) to the position in the dugout.
