Supersport.com can report that Nigerian-born Benin Republic international, Isaac Loute (pictured), is close to signing for Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club, Sharks.
Loute, 21, is already in
Port Harcourt waiting for the transfer window to re-open in Week 9 to allow him
complete his switch to the Blue Angels.
But the Beninoise striker
is expected to conclude talks with the club before signing a contract this week
that will see him stay at the Port Harcourt club for the remainder of this
season.
The former Gateway FC man
has already trained twice with Gbenga Ogunbote and his team in the past days.
"Isaac Loute is in
Port Harcourt and is waiting for the team to return from their trip to Bauchi
where they faced Wikki. He has been involved in two training sessions and have
impressed the coaches.
"So it is just left
for us to finish the necessary paperwork and hopefully we should sign him
before the end of this week or at the latest, next week," a Sharks
official divulged to supersport.com.
However, Sharks will have
to sort out paperwork for Loute with Beninoise club, Union Sportive Seme Krake,
where he spent the last two months before travelling to Nigeria.
Loute has played for
Nigerian top flight, Lobi Stars, in the past.
