Nigeria
Professional Football League (NPFL) club, Wikki Tourists have placed former
Enyimba man, Otanwa Otanwa and six other players on transfer.
Others
released by the Tourists are Abbas Akanji, Muktari Salisu, Kayode Akanji,
Achimugu Friday, Dominic Evvyimonva and Monsuru Rabiu.
The club released the players after they were declared surplus to
requirement.
"Following
the dismal outing of the club between Week One and Nine seven players have been
placed on transfer on the recommendation of the technical crew and the club
management chaired by Sule Abdullahi Chindo endorsed their being
released," said Wikki Tourists spokesman, Usman Shehu to Naijaligue.blogspot.com.
"The
players were released owing to poor performance and lack of commitment in the
ongoing NPFL season."
The
Tourists are in line to sign four strikers. They are Ibrahim Babale, Haruna
Babalo, Christopher and John Paul.
Two
unnamed players from El-Kanemi Warriors are also pencilled down to join the
Tourists.
The
new players to be unveiled before the club's next game against Enugu Rangers in
Bauchi next Wednesday.
