3SC head coach, Festus Allen, is happy with his side taking a point away from Lobi Stars in Sunday's Nigeria Premier League (NPL) match.
The Ibadan side were held to a 1-1 draw at the Emmanuel Atongo Stadium in Katsina-Ala.
A relieved Allen told Naijaligue.blogspot.com that he is happy that his men fought well to earn their first point on the road after 10 games this term.
"It's good we got a point in Katsina-Ala today (Sunday). The game was a difficult one but I'm quite satisfied that we got a result here and we will build on it as the season progresses," he said.
Allen said he had fancied an away win for his side after Osagona Ighodaro put 3SC in front three minutes after the hour mark.
But the lead lasted just three minutes as Gabriel Adiukwu pulled the hosts level.
"We were close to winning the game but we didn't clear our lines well and we conceded too soon after we scored. But a point at Lobi Stars is not a bad outing after all," Allen said to Naijaligue.blogspot.com.
3SC have taken 13 points from 10 games while Lobi Stars are on nine points.
