Naijaligue.blogspot.com can report that Glo Nigeria Premier League club, Warri Wolves, have decided to recall Efe Yarhere (pictured in front) from rivals, Enugu Rangers for their failure to clear the player for N4 million (around $25,000).
The Warri club took the decision last week, it has been learned.
A top official of Wolves confirmed that Rangers could not cough up the amount since Yarhere joined them in 2012.
"Rangers reneged on an agreement to pay around N4 million for Efe and that is why the player has been withdrawn from their team. We have the 100 percent ownership of the player and it is unfair what Rangers have done," said the Wolves official to Naijaligue.blogspot.com.
Yarhere has returned to Warri but will not feature for Wolves in Sunday's Glo Premier League game against basement boys, Sharks.
The striker is likely to be in the Wolves squad for their Matchday 22 tie at Heartland on July 21.
The Enugu club have been enmeshed with a number of high-profile transfer sagas this season including Afcon hero, Sunday Mba (still unresolved), Chigozie Agbim, Uruemu Egbeta (who has returned to Wolves) and goalkeeper Emmanuel Daniel.
Daniel's case has actually led to the club being disqualified by Caf from the ongoing Confederation Cup following a protest from Tunisian club, CS Sfaxien that the goalkeeper was ineligible to face them in the playoff round.
