Akwa Utd Earns N12m In Orok’s Deal

It has finally been uncovered that relegated club, Akwa United, netted a cool sum of about N12 million from the transfer of the Globacom Premier League top scorer, Akarandut Orok, to CS Sfaxien of Tunisia. The actual amount reportedly paid to Akwa United for the service of the player, it was learnt, is $100,000, which is regarded cheap for a player of Orok’s quality. Already the club has handed Orok a two-year deal that includes a house for his family and a vehicle with a driver for the time being. This is, however, the first time that a transfer involving a player at the club has been revealed.
