Clearance Delays Eromoigbe’s Wolves’ Debut

One of Warri Wolves’ new man this season, Richard Eromoigbe, is still competition-tied in spite of having completed his deal with the Globacom Premier League club this season.
Naijaligue.blogspot.com understands that the former PFC Levski Sofia midfielder cannot make his debut for Warri Wolves after he was released by FC Khimki of Bulgaria in September this year.
However, the management of Warri Wolves is still battling to secure the player’s international clearance, which would free him to play for the club in the Nigerian league this season.
But Eromoigbe has only been reduced to participating in the team’s training sessions since his deal was confirmed by the management of Warri Wolves last month.
“Since he (Eromoigbe) signed for us, he is yet to play,” a source at the club told Naijaligue.blogspot.com. “The reason is because Warri Wolves are yet to get international clearance to allow the player participate in the league this season. But hopefully that will be done in a matter of days.”
However, it remains unclear which club would make the player’s clearance available since he last featured for FC Khimki in September.
It is believed that Warri Wolves would secure a clearance before the end of this month for the player to be able to feature in the Globacom Premier League.
“For now, I can’t really say how or where the clearance would come from. But the management is confident that the clearance paper would come at least before the end of this month and Eromoigbe would be able to play for the club,” our source said.
In another development, the club’s head coach, Lawrence Akpokona, has expressed satisfaction with Warri Wolves’ 2-0 victory over league champion, Bayelsa United, at the weekend.
He told Naijaligue.blogspot.com that the performance of the Warri club would continue to improve with every game in the season.
