Fengor Earns Wolves Win Over Lobi

The lone strike of in-form Warri Wolves’ forward, Fengor Ogude, was enough to see off the challenge of troubled Lobi Stars in a rescheduled Premier League game at the Oleh Township Stadium on Wednesday.
It was a tough game for the home side from the start of the referee’s whistle, as Lobi Stars, which had averted a strike before this game over unpaid contract fees from last season and the present campaign.
The first half ended with goalless with fewer exchanges from both sides.
But on 75 minutes, Fengor broke the deadlock with a close range finish to beat Daniel Okai in goal.
The goal against Lobi Stars was Fengor's seventh of the season in 17 appearances.
Wolves’ manager, Lawrence Akpokona, told Naijaligue.blogspot.com that though he is satisfied with seeing his side pick all points, he is seething over the performance of the team.
“As far as the result is concerned, I am happy but the general performance was not good enough and we need to be consistent in our performance or we might get punished when we face a more clinical side.
“But we are happy that we won the three points and remain in the chase for the title this season. We will continue to do our best to win matches as the season continue because we want to end as high as possible at the end of this season,” the former Ocean Boys and Enugu Rangers’ handler said.
