WEEK 29 PREVIEWS (Rescheduled)

Thursday
Warri Wolves v Gateway FC
There have been five past meetings between the two sides since 2005 including when Warri Wolves was known as NPA Seasiders. Wolves earlier in the campaign earned a dramatic 2 – 2 draw at Abeokuta and looks primed to pick all points in this fixture scheduled to hold on Sunday at the Warri City Stadium after last week’s disappointing 1 – 1 draw with Rangers at home. Lawrence Akpokona would be demanding an outright and convincing performance from his side.
Prediction: 3 – 0
RECENT HEAD-TO-HEAD
Dec 5, 2009: Gateway FC 2 – 2 Warri Wolves
Feb 8, 2009: Warri Wolves 2 – 1 Gateway FC
Sept 13, 2008: Gateway FC 1 – 1 Warri Wolves
Dec 18, 2005: NPA 1 – 0 Gateway FC
June 10, 2005: Gateway FC 2 – 0 NPA

Heartland v Sunshine Stars
Last season, the Naze Millionaires edged Sunshine Stars in this same game by a lone goal in a physical game that saw Ibrahim Baballe get injured and missed the rest of last season. The Stars has found Heartland to be a hard side to beat and in five clashes since 2007, the visiting team has won just once – two years ago in Akure. In the reverse fixture, both sides battled to a goalless draw on the rough and sandy surface of the Akure Township Stadium. The Naze Millionaires should hold out for a lone goal win in this encounter.
Prediction: 1 – 0

May 17, 2009: Heartland 1 – 0 Sunshine Stars
Nov 23, 2008: Sunshine Stars 0 – 1 Heartland
April 19, 2008: Sunshine Stars 1 – 0 Heartland
