Chibambo May Dump Heartland Finally

Zambian international, Signswonder Chibambo, could be set to quit Premier League side, Heartland Football club, after spending two seasons with the Nigerian outfit.
Naijaligue.blogspot.com can reveal that the Zambian told a close friend that he wants a new challenge in his playing, as he feels that his stay with the Nigerian club is affecting his number of caps with his country’s national team.
Chibambo left the Naze Millionaires last month to join up with his nation’s national team for the international friendly with Chile and has since not returned to Owerri.
It is not the first time that Chibambo has left the club for several days, as he did same before this year’s edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola, only to return with an injury.
“Before he left he said he is not sure that he would return to Nigeria because he is fed up with the whole situation and wants to go abroad and play for a big team. He wants to go to Europe because he wants to play for his country but that is not happening yet but he feels he can force something to happen,” our source revealed.
When our correspondent spoke to Chibambo on telephone in his current base in Lusaka, the player denied plan to dump the Naze Millionaires.
Chibambo hinted that he would return to the club to feature in the CAF Champions League.
“I am still coming back to Nigeria to play for the team. I am only in my country for a short stay after joining the (Zambian) national team for a friendly game. I will return soon because I still want to play for the team and in the (CAF) Champions League too,” he said.
