Tenger, Yusuf Tops Lobi’s Transfer List

Premier League side, Lobi Stars, has included the duo of Justin Tenger and Salisu Yusuf, in its shopping list in this off-season transfer window, Naijaligue.blogspot.com scooped.
Tenger was fired from another Premier League club, Kwara United, last week and his place taken up by Kadiri Ikhana.
The Makurdi-based club, which escaped relegation last season, also wants Yusuf to return to the club after he was sent packing two seasons ago for a string of poor results.
The deputy chairman of Lobi Stars, Dominic Iorfa, said the club is yet to open talks with any coach when contacted on the development.
He said the management of Lobi Stars is taking stock of the performance of the entire team that includes the playing and coaching staff before it reaches a decision.
“We are reviewing the performance of the team for the past season. It is the norm to look at the past season and then we will know what to do. We cannot just wake up and say we are bringing in a new coach or new players though we cannot rule that out because change is part of life,” he told Naijaligue.blogspot.com in a telephone interview.
Attempts to reach Tenger on being linked to his state-owned club did not materialise, as his telephone was switched off as at the time of filing in this report.
But Yusuf waved off the transfer talk of leaving Kano Pillars for Lobi Stars.
He added that he is comfortable as head coach of the Kano club and said it wuld be difficult for any Nigerian side to lure him away from the side.
“Nobody has spoken to me, and I am not leaving Kano Pillars for Lobi Stars after my last experience there. I am enjoying my stay in Kano because the club, players, officials and fans have been good to me. So why would I leave them?” Yusuf, who led Kano Pillars to a second-place finish last season, ended with a query.
