Sharks Football Club of Port Harcourt has proposed a pre-season camping for the town of Calabar ahead of the new season.
According to the secretary of the team, Cyril Wite, the Blue Angels will proceed to Calabar to start pre-season training exercise to put the players in shape for next season.
“We desire to prepare very well for the new season. We have retained the players that we need and after some weeks in Calabar, we should be ready to face all oppositions in the Nigeria Premier League.
“Our problem last season was because we did not start early preparation. But this time we want to nip this problem in the bud by making sure that our team is well prepared.
“We don’t want to take chances this new season. We want to be able to adequately prepare for the season because we want to challenge for the league title.
“Everything will work well for us this season because we are going to be ready,” Wite said.
Sharks escaped relegation on the last day of the Premier League last season.
