Heartland out of CAF Champions League

Egyptian side, Al Ahly, ensured that Heartland Football Club’s chance of reaching the semis ended this evening with a 2-1 triumph in Cairo.
Africa’s six-time champion grabbed the final place in the last four ahead of the Naze Millionaires and Ismaily.
It was Al Ahly that got off to a great start when former Sheffield United attacking winger, Ahmed Fathi, struck for the home side just midway into the first half.
In spite of dominating possession, the Naze Millionaires conceded a second goal just six minutes into the restart when Mohamed Fadl made no mistake in poking home a clear chance at goal.
And just before the hour mark, on-loan striker to Heartland, Emma Nwachi, got the consolation.
Al Ahly held on for a victory that made sure it reached the semis that already has JS Kabylie of Algeria, Esperance of Tunisia and Tout Puissant Mazembe of DR Congo.
The final round of group matches will be played next weekend.
