Six Inter stars on trials at Heartland

No less than six players from modest Internazionale Enugu have been trying out for places at Nigeria Premier League (NPL) side, Heartland Football Club since they crashed out of the 2010 CAF Champions League, SuperSport.com can reveal.
The players are goalkeeper Chinedu Udeh, while five outfield players in Onuabuchi Michael Nwodo, Hamzat Jamiu, Obinna Nwachukwu, Ebele Okolo and Chisom Aneke complete the sextet.
According to the official website of Inter Enugu, head coach of Heartland FC, Samson Siasia, extended invitation to the players after a recently friendly match with the side in which the Naze Millionaires lost 2 – 3.
The six players impressed the Heartland gaffer and he immediately spoke to Inter Enugu president, Francis Yawe, on having the players join up with the Owerri side in its pre-season training.

  1. A coach that is ready to work will to any length to get the materials that he needs to succeed. Siasia has turned to be a coach that is not scared of taking challenges that id why he has stayed ahead of his contemporaries. After he sack most of the players he met at Heartland, a friend of my who is a senior sports journalist called it madness. Heartland may not do well next season but in the years to come, the sky will be the limit for the team. All the best siasia.
