Aruwa to play through pain at Kaduna Utd

Kaduna United playmaker, Sani Aruwa, has been mandated to continue to play through pain by the selectors of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) club.
SuperSport.com was told that Aruwa had to be pulled off during the opening game of the Premier League with Kano Pillars at the Kaduna Township Stadium after he signalled to the bench that his thigh injury had recurred.
Kaduna United head coach, Maurice Cooreman, had to replace Aruwa with Saviour Fedelix on 73 minutes.
Cooreman said Aruwa suffered recurrence of the groin injury that has plagued him before the start of the season.
“Yes he already has a groin injury,” Cooreman told SuperSport.com. “But we will watch him since he is one of our important players. We will do all we can to make sure that he is ready for our next game.”
Aruwa also said that he had to play through pain in the opening game at home to the former champions since he felt the team needed his service.
The midfielder said he is willing to continue in that stead for the side.
“It is difficult to play through such pain but I can’t help it. After last Saturday’s game, I have been able to train with the team this (Tuesday) morning,” the players said.
Kaduna United will travel to Offa to face Kwara United in a Week Two game on Saturday.
