Trio doubtful for Sharks’ opener

Three players of Sharks Football Club are major doubts in the team’s opening game against Jos University Teaching Hospital (Juth) Football Club at the Sharks Stadium in Port Harcourt on Sunday.
The players are Ifeanyi Esobe, Godwin Mba and Ousmane Pape Sane are the major doubts for the game against The Healers.
Two players are, however, not going to get a call from coach John Obuh for this game while one still fancies his chance.
Mba is nursing a thigh injury that will keep him out of action for a few days while Esobe is still days away from regaining full fitness after recovering from an injury.
But Senegalese centre-back, Sane, is said to be suffering from malaria and faces a late scrutiny.
The player has been ill with malaria since returning from Abidjan where the Blue Angels played against Stella-Abidjan in the West African Football Union (Wafu) Club Cup.
Sane told SuperSport.com that he is feeling better than during the week but trained just thrice since returning with the team from Abidjan.
“I have been suffering from malaria since I came back from Abidjan with the team. I trained just three times with the team and I don’t know if I will play tomorrow (Sunday). But I feel better now,” he said.
