As the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) enters matchday 18, SuperSport will be in the ancient town of Abeokuta to broadcast one of the traditionally fiercest games in local club football.
3SC will play host to leaders Dolphins at the MKO Abiola Stadium (live on SuperSport 9 from 3.45pm Nigerian time on Sunday).
This crunch game on the World of Champions will not be short of talent, as 3SC will have the likes of Kabiru Alausa, Chima Akas, Raheem Owolabi, Olumide Adigun and Taofeek Adepoju on parade against Owusu Addae, Uche Oguchi, Derek Amadi, Captain Ejindu, Emma Nwachi and Kennedy Chinwo of Dolphins.
Chinwo is already looking forward to Sunday’s clash against 3SC in Abeokuta.
“It is a game I am really keen to play and it is not the first time playing against 3SC in the league. They are a strong team and we know that we need to get a result to remain on top,” said the Dolphins’ defender.
Fatai Amoo, 3SC head coach, told the World of Champions that he has a strong team that can dent Dolphins’ title ambition.
Amoo said: “3SC have always had strong teams and this one is no exception. We have been unlucky in a number of games. Hopefully we will be lucky this time before a television audience and beat Dolphins.”
This is the seventh clash between both sides in the top flight since March 17, 2004 and SuperSport will broadcast all the action live.
Presenter Mozez Praiz will anchor the opening and closing interviews for the game while the duo of Ralph Chidozie George and Kelechi Onwudiwe will be commentators.
SuperSport has been the official broadcaster of the Premier League in Nigeria for more than two seasons.
