Don’t write off Enyimba yet – Otekpa

Eneji Otekpa has warned rival Nigeria Premier League (NPL) clubs that they cannot afford to rule out Enyimba from the title race this season.
The Nigerian champions started this season’s campaign on a shaky note but have won three times in their last five games.
But the Peoples Elephant have garnered 25 points from 16 games and are 12 points behind leaders, Dolphins.
The midfielder, who is a team member of the Nigerian under23s, told SuperSport.com that Enyimba can still compete for the title in spite of the 12-point gap between them and Dolphins.
"It is easier to write off Enyimba by saying it but this is a club with a very strong tradition of winning trophies and that's why I think our opponents and people shouldn't write us off too early," said Otekpa.
Enyimba have a game at hand against Lobi Stars, which they face on Wednesday at the Enyimba Sports Complex in Aba.
Otekpa is confident that the six-time Nigerian champions will pick all points when they play host to Lobi Stars on Wednesday in a Week 18 rescheduled game.
"We will win the game (against Lobi Stars). Definitely we will win," Otekpa told SuperSport.com.
Enyimba have faced Lobi Stars 14 times in the topflight since 2003 and Okey Emordi's men have the edge having won eight times against Lobi Stars' three while the other three games have ended in draws.
