Kaduna Utd leave for Tunis Friday

Nigeria cup holders, Kaduna United will leave the shores of the country on Friday morning for their Orange Caf Confederation Cup game in Tunis on Sunday.

Kaduna United are billed to face Club Africain on matchday two of the Orange Caf Confederation Cup at the Stade Olympique d'El Menzah in Tunis.

The club contingent of 22 players left the town of Kaduna on Thursday morning to make a three-hour trip by road to Nigeria's capital, Abuja.

Kaduna United are expected to travel aboard an Egypt Air flight that leaves the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja by 1am local time on Friday.

The flight will take the team en route Cairo, Egypt before they leave for Tunisia by 8am Nigerian time on Friday.

The club before the trip paid its players three months outstanding salaries this week, SuperSport.com has been informed.

“The club has paid the players three months of their salaries," said club spokesman, Abdulrahman Tonga.

However, the club head coach, Maurice Cooreman, will not have three players in his squad for the game at Club Africain.

Midfielder Emma Bivan is left out of the game in order not to aggravate his knee injury.

But Linus Adams misses out all together due to suspension.

Left-back Alfred Mathias has been excused to travel to Belgium for trials with an undisclosed club.

Kaduna United started their campaign at home with a 1-1 draw against GD Interclube of Angola on July 16.
