Sunshine striker impresses Danish club

Sunshine Stars' forward, Kayode Abiodun Thompson, has aroused interest among officials of Aarhus GF of Denmark.

Thompson, trying out at the Danish club, played his first test game on Monday for the team's reserves against Silkeborg IF.

The striker played for 65 minutes in attack alongside Hjalte Norregaard.

Aarhus GF coach, Jesper Sorensen was in the stands to watch Thompson in his first test game since arriving in Denmark last week.

Sorensen said of the Nigerian striker's performance: "He makes some good stuffs, and he shows that he has speed in his legs and excellent in one-on-one skill. He coped with the difficult conditions and we will get a better impression of him in the coming weeks when he feels better."

Another top official of the club, Brian Steen Nielsen, is said to be also impressed with Thompson's first display.

The teenage forward is expected to continue his test at the club for two weeks.
