Sane to return next term

Ousmane Pape Sane (pictured) will play no part in this season for Sharks following a prolonged injury that has kept him on the sidelines.

The Senegalese centre-back told Naijaligue.blogspot.com that the 2010/2011 season is one "I will want to forget in a hurry.”

Sane has been struggling with a hamstring injury all season and suffered a relapse of the same injury in a Federation Cup game for the Blue Angels.

The former Police of Senegal player said he is nearing full fitness, as he continues his rehabilitation programme under the supervision of the doctor of Sharks.

“I have been undergoing physiotherapy in the past weeks. This is to help condition well and reach full recovery,” Sane explained to SuperSport.com. “But I will want to forget in a hurry this season because I didn’t play much for Sharks and that has been painful."

The defender has assured that he will join up for the pre-season of the 2011/2012 campaign with his Sharks’ teammates.

“This season is already gone. Now I am looking forward to joining the team for next season healthy,” Sane said.

Sharks will play their last games of this season against Kwara United, Crown FC and Kaduna United.
