Aminu lives in hope for ABS

Striker Abdulkadir Aminu believes that ABS FC have turned the corner after their early season struggles in the Nigeria Premier League (NPL).

Aminu, who set the tone for ABS' 2-0 win over champions Dolphins in mid-week at the Ilorin Township Stadium with a 32-seconds goal, told Naijaligue.blogspot.com that he and his teammates are bolstered by their impressive form.

He added that ABS will take same mentality that helped grab two back-to-back wins over Dolphins and Kaduna United into this weekend's clash against Kano Pillars at the Ilorin Township Stadium.

"I'm very confident that ABS will play next season in the Premier League. In the past few days we have worked really hard in training and during league matches. I'm thankful to God that we have been able to win two games at once and even against the league champions, Dolphins.

"Now the belief among the players is high and our confidence has grown again after starting the season very poorly. I know we can do better than our last two games and hopefully we will show against Kano Pillars that we are ready to play with the big boys," the former Kwara Football Academy apprentice told Naijaligue.blogspot.com.

ABS are currently 16th in the NPL standings with 11 points from 11 games.
