Itodo plans shock party for Dolphins

By Humphrey Njoku

Sunshine Stars' midfielder, Cletus Itodo (pictured) has said Dolphins will pay for his side's defeat at Enyimba in Aba on Sunday.

The Caf Champions League campaigners will host the domestic champions at their slaughter ground in Ijebu Ode in mid-week's Matchday 32.

The first fixture, the star match of 2011/2012 season, ended 1-0 in favour of the Garden City lads.

Itodo who criss-crossed both sides in the 2011/2012 season told SuperSport.com that the efforts to bring back the Akure Gunners to winning ways will start against the Port Harcourt side.

"I feel normal to face Dolphins as an opponent instead of the other way round.

"I'm now with Sunshine Stars, no more with Dolphins and we're going for the three points at stake.

"We're still angry at our defeat at Enyimba on Sunday, somehow Dolphins will have to pay for our anger.

"Dolphins are strong side with lots of quality players but there won't be escape this time around more so as they've taken their fair share of points in the first fixture.

"We must start winning matches again, at least, to move up to where our fans want us to be.

"Of course, we're a champions team and shouldn't be struggling to win matches.

"We're worried as well by the struggling and are determined to find a quick solutions.

"Hopefully, our position will improve when we're done with our outstanding matches," said the Nigerian playmaker.
