Namo looks beyond Enyimba

Nasarawa United forward, Victor Namo (pictured), has sounded out a warning to Federation Cup opponents, Enyimba ahead of their quarterfinal clash this Wednesday.

Namo, who has never won the Cup, told Naijaligue.blogspot.com that Nasarawa United will defeat Enyimba at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta to book their place in the last four.

The striker also made it clear that he is unmoved by Enyimba's new-found form in the second round of this season, which has seen the People's Elephant remain unbeaten.

The former Kano Pillars man, who refers to the Federation Cup by its old name, the Challenge Cup, then said Enyimba will pose the Solid Miners no threat.

"We are here (in Abeokuta) to win. As far as this Challenge Cup is concerned they are not a threat.

"I am not bothered at all because we are also doing well in the Challenge Cup," said Namo to Naijaligue.blogspot.com.

The Nasarawa United attacker believes his team can go all the way in this year's Cup competition.

Namo is hoping to win a first Federation Cup in his career this year.

"Anything can happen in the Challenge Cup. We have a good squad capable of achieving anything, and I see God doing it for us. It will be good to win my first Challenge Cup," said Namo, whose brace against City Of David (COD) United helped Nasarawa United reached the round of 16.

Nasarawa United have already dropped four points to Enyimba over two legs this season in the Glo Premier League.
