A
number of Bayelsa United fans were surprised to find out that Peter Ebimobowei (pictured) was missing from their squad that defeated Glo Premier League champions, Kano
Pillars 1 – 0 on Saturday.
Actually
Bayelsa United head coach, Ladan Bosso, gave the hint that the striker suffered
a knock in their Federation Cup round of 32 game against ABS but Naijaligue.blogspot.com
has been made to understand that the player was left out for misconduct.
“Peter
was dropped by the coach for reasons bothering on indiscipline. Ladan Bosso is
a very strict coach and a disciplinarian too and will stop at nothing to win
control of his squad. He is the coach and knows what he is doing,” said a club
official.
However,
the club official would not want to go into details why Ebimobowei was dropped
but simply termed it “anti-club activity.”
Bayelsa
United currently occupy second spot on 36 points, just three points behind
table-toppers Kano Pillars.
