Romanian
modest outfit, CS Concordia Chiajna, have confirmed they have signed on
Nigerian attacking winger, Gomo Onduku (pictured).
A
spokesman of the club told supersport.com late on Thursday night that Onduku
inked a contract with the Romanian side.
"Onduku
signed just yesterday (Wednesday)," said the spokesman, Florin Petrescu in
a one-line sentence.
The
Nigerian international signed a one-year contract with the Romanian Liga I.
The
former Sharks winger is now expected to undergo medicals on Friday, barring any
hitch.
Onduku
has told supersport.com that he is expecting to be given a squad number before
this weekend.
He
also explained the choice of joining the Romanian club based in Chiajna, Ilfov County.
"I'm
happy to join CS Concordia. I joined them because they've offered me the
opportunity to play regularly and as a first-timer in Europe that is good for
me.
"Now
I'm waiting to get my jersey number. I was offered number 10 but there's
another player using that already and it will be unfair to take it. So I asked
for number 16. But I'll wait to get my number," said Onduku.
It
is unclear if Onduku will make his debut for CS Concordia when they make the
trip to Universitatea Cluj this weekend.
