Enyimba and Sunshine Stars threw everything at each other in Thursday's Glo Premier League match but both could not score in their match day 1 encounter in Akure.

Enyimba winger, Andrew Abalogu [pictured], has heaped praises on the Sunshine Stars goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa telling supersport.com stood between his team and getting at least a goal.

"The match was a tough one as you can see. We played our best but the goal refused to come. We dominated the game all through and though we had many chances their goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa really saved Sunshine," said Abalogu.

"With the pace we are now playing and with our next match at home with Rangers it will be a sure victory on Sunday.

"Enyimba is a big club in Nigeria and I am very happy to belong to such a club. I have no regret playing for Enyimba as it is a sheer joy for any player to play for a team like them and we are fully determined to top the league this season.”
