Kano Pillars' striker, Gambo Mohammed (pictured above) will be unavailable for Thursday's Nigeria Premier League (NPL) game against Sunshine Stars at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
Mohammed has been out due to a muscle problem and caretaker coach, Baba Ganaru has left him out of the game against Caf Champions League campaigners, Sunshine Stars.
Ganaru had toyed with the chance of listing Mohammed for Thursday's game but decided to rest him after he trained just once this week with the team.
The striker has been sidelined since suffering a muscle tear earlier this month.
The big forward has missed three games against Jigawa Golden Stars, Gombe United and 3SC.
But he resumed training with the team on Tuesday and should be available for this weekend's trip to Dolphins.
Mohammed has scored five goals so far for Kano Pillars this season.
Ganaru has other striking options to pick from his team including Victor Namo, Mannir Ubale and Siman Yusuf
