Signswonder Chibambo’s contract with Heartland Football Club ended on August 4.
The Zambian in spite of being talked into renewing his contract at the club refused to do so and opted to return to his country.
“After his deal ran out with us, he did not want to renew it because he was unhappy with the way things went when salaries and match bonuses were being owed by the club,“ a club official said about the development in Ilorin.
Speculations have been rife that the player may have returned to Zambia to join up with Zesco United, but it has been learnt that Chibambo has travelled to Europe for trials with an unnamed side.
