Two Brazilians Under Trials At Tornadoes

Globacom Premier League club, Niger Tornadoes, is on the verge of completing the signing of two Brazilians, who flew into the country for trials with the club, Daily Independent understands.
One of the club’s spokesman, Mohammed She, told our correspondent that the deal for the two Brazilians is yet to be concluded since they are still undergoing trials with the squad, which is now holding its pre-season training camp in Minna.
The two players, according to She, have been in the camp of Tornadoes since last week.
“We currently have two Brazilians training with our team for the pre-season preparation. But they are not yet on any contract, as the coach is still trying them out with the team currently in Minna. Their recruitment would be determined by the coach of the club at the end of the trial period before the team finally proceed to camp proper for the new season,” the club’s media officer opened up.
On how, Niger Tornadoes came into contact with the Brazilian players, She disclosed that an agent brought in the players from the South American country and proposed them to the Minna Premier League outfit.
He explained that the management of Niger Tornadoes accepted the offer to try out the two players after holding discussions with its head coach, Godwin Uwua, who also decided to test the ability of the players.
“The two players were introduced to the club by an agent, who went to Brazil to bring them. He offered them to us and we decided to take them on trials. But the final decision rests on the coach (Uwua) and after that if he feels they are good enough to be part of the club, then I am sure that the management would want to open contract talks with them and try to sign them for the coming season,” She remarked.
It is expected that by the end of this week, Uwua would make his submission on the players known to the management of Niger Tornadoes.
