Wolves Contacted Eguavoen To Replace Ogbeide

It has been revealed that Warri Wolves tried to talk current Enyimba head coach, Austin Eguavoen, into becoming its head of coaching crew for next season.
In spite of dangling a tempting pay package before the former Super Eagles’ handler, naijaligue.blogspot.com understands that he (Eguavoen) decided to snub the offer and stick to the Peoples Elephant on the grounds of having won a continental berth to the CAF Confederation Cup next year.
A source said the deal offered Eguavoen was over N20 million including signing-on fees and salaries for a season.
In the event of his refusal, Wolves contacted Lawrence Akpokona to pick up the job.
