WEEK 7 PREVIEW: Wolves v Bayelsa Utd

Last season, this same fixture presented followers of the Premier League with a thrilling end with a 2-2 on June 14 this year inside the Oleh Township Stadium. That result ensured that Bayelsa United edged Heartland Football Club to the title in last season’s campaign. But Warri Wolves would be a different proposition for the champion this time after recruiting experienced players such as Richard Eromoigbe and Omonigho Temile to bolster its midfield. On the other hand, Bayelsa United has lost the services of Chibuzor Okonkwo, Emma Nwachi and hard-working defensive midfielder, Jonah Abutu, to rival Premier League sides in just two months since the start of this season. At the same time, the champion is faced with crisis after five of its first team players decided to boycott its matches until their outstanding wages and signing-on fees are settled. This presents Wolves with the chance to pounce, as Bayelsa United could likely field an under-strength side.
Prediction: 2-0
