Ikhana In Niamey For Sahel Discussion

Former Kano Pillars and Enyimba coach, Kadiri Ikhana, is already in the capital of Niger Republic, Niamey, discussing with that country’s champion, Sahel Sporting Club, Naijaligue.blogspot.com understands.
A close friend to the tough-talking coach revealed to Naijaligue.blogspot.com that Ikhana left the shores of the country earlier this week for Niamey to hold talks with the management of Sahel SC, which would be competing in the 2010 edition of the CAF Champions League.
Ikhana, who turns 58 on the eve of New Year’s Day, is scheduled to meet with the club president, who is also an influential businessman in Niger Republic.
Other officials of Sahel SC that is expected to be part of discussion with Ikhana are the club’s General Secretary, Isaaka Adamou and administrator, Muhammad Rabiou.
The two are reportedly the men that travelled to Nigeria to meet with Ikhana to open talks on the possibility of him handling the side as head coach for next year.
“Kadiri Ikhana has left the country since the beginning of this week to meet with officials of the club in Niamey. He will talk to them about the contract details and especially how much he wants to earn. Nothing was concluded when two of the officials met him here in Nigeria because they only came to show interest in having him as their coach.
“But Ikhana will be meeting with the club president and I believe that by next week we will know if he would be joining the club in Niger Republic or not. I believe if they meet his demands that he might consider them and sign for them as coach,” our source informed.
