Sharks Targets Winning Streak

After starting this season’s campaign on a terrible note, Sharks Football Club believes that it can continue to win more games and climb out of the relegation zone before the Premier League reaches half-way point.
Captain of the club, Odinga Odinga, told Naijaligue.blogspot.com that the side has shaken off its lethargic start to the ongoing season by claiming three straight wins though they were all achieved inside the Liberation Stadium in Port Harcourt.
Sharks FC has defeated Kano Pillars (2 – 0), Shooting Stars Sports Club (2 – 0) and Lobi Stars (3 – 1) to begin its fight-back in the 11-week-old league.
“The confidence in the side is beginning to grow again. For all of us, it was a difficult moment because we suddenly lost confidence in ourselves and had to struggle at times in games that we should have won easily. For example, we lost twice at home and it was not good for our confidence at all.
“But we have started winning again and I want to assure our fans that we are growing in confidence and we are ready to continue winning our other games when the league resumes though we know that it will not be easy, we are ready to give our best,” Odinga said.
Last Wednesday’s 2 – 0 win over former champion, Kano Pillars, ensured that Sharks FC climbed from the 20th position to 18th and Odinga believes that it is the start of the side’s escape from the Premier League bottom.
