JUTH Hosts Mighty Jets In Jos’ Derby

In one of the biggest games of the season in the Nigeria National League (NNL) also known as the National Division I League, Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) Football Club would play host to rival side, Mighty Jets, on Sunday.
This is the biggest derby in the city of Jos in the seven-week old league of the National Division I League.
The university football team would be seeking to maintain a 100 per cent start to the season after winning all of its games since it was relegated from the Premier League last season.
Last week, JUTH FC defeated fellow relegated side, FC Abuja, by 3 – 1 to continue its stainless run in the NNL.
Media officer of JUTH FC, Olusola Alao, acknowledged that the match for this weekend would be a difficult game since it is one of the oldest derbies in the Nigerian league – both top-flight and lower division.
"It going to be a great match since it would hold in the same town. This is one of the oldest derbies in the country and no doubt we expect that Mighty Jets will be difficult to beat. Our past meetings will make it tough but we are not rivals with
Jets. All derby worldwide are always tough and I believe we have all what it takes to carry the day. I am urging fans of both teams to applaud good artistry and be calm from the beginning till the end and as well accept the result of the match in good faith,” Alao told Naijaligue.blogspot.com.
