Warri Wolves’ plan to prise away John Owoeri in the transfer window that closes on Friday appears to have hit the rocks for now.
The club’s General Manager, Media, Timi Ebikagboro, disclosed to Naijaligue.blogspot.com that the deal fell through due to undisclosed issues.
“No the deal cannot go through now because there are some unresolved issues at the moment. Those issues when sorted out will give us the chance to bring in the player,” he said.
The development, however, means that the Warri club would have to wait to try for the 22-year-old pacy forward in another transfer window.
But Ebikagboro believes that the player is still willing to reunite with his former team-mates after he agreed in principle.
