Tornadoes To Remain In Kaduna – NPL

Globacom Premier League side, Niger Tornadoes’ hopes of returning to its original home ground in Minna, Niger State suffered a setback during the week after the inspection of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL).
Naijaligue.blogspot.com understands that the inspection team of the NPL led by a former scribe of Nigeria Football Association (now Nigeria Football Federation), Momodu Kadiri, in its report disclosed that the Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium in Minna is not ready to play host to Premier League games
Tornadoes was scheduled to return to its home this weekend when it confronts Enyimba.
Naijaligue.blogspot.com was informed that the Niger State government had expended N100 million into renovating the stadium for Tornadoes’ return this weekend but that would now have to wait for a few more days.
It was learnt that the renovation of the stadium has been centred on the playing turf, VIP and spectators’ pavilions while the toilets and dressing rooms are in bad conditions.
With this development, the match between Tornadoes and Enyimba earlier scheduled for Saturday would hold on Sunday since that of Ranchers Bees and Wikki Tourist would hold on Saturday at the same venue in Kaduna.
