Adepoju Faces Baptism In Coaching Job

Former Nigeria international, Mutiu Adepoju, could be in the dugout when Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) plays host to Zamfara United in a Premier League match on Saturday in the capacity of head coach.
It would be first time of handling a Nigerian club in an interim capacity since the sack of Phillip Boamah by the management of Shooting Stars on December 28, 2009.
But Naijaligue.blogspot.com understands that Adepoju might not sit in the dugout after all since he was not registered as one of the coaches, though would be involved in passing instructions as head of the team’s technical crew.
Adepoju, who is General Manager of the club, is qualified to take charge of the team during its matches in the absence of a head coach since he also doubles as technical director of the club.
The club’s technical director told Naijaligue.blogspot.com that the team is ready to face Zamfara United and also disclosed that he would remain in charge of the side until a new coach is found.
On the possibility of the club naming a new head coach soon, Adepoju could not give a specific time or name when a coach would be announced.

  1. Mutiu should let coaches do their job and he can concentrate on his. Have 3SC sacked every member of Boahmas's coaching staff, why can the deputy not step in?
