Benin Goalie Returns To Bayelsa Utd Camp

Nigerian-born Beninoise goalkeeper, Olaniyi Fabiyi, has returned to the camp of the Premier League champion, Bayelsa United.
Fabiyi told Naijaligue.blogspot.com that after missing out on the trip to Angola for the ongoing Nations Cup, he has returned to the Bayelsa State-owned club.
The goalkeeper missed out on being one of the three goalkeepers in the Benin Republic squad that included Wikki Tourist safehands, Rachad Chitou.
But the goalkeeper breezed into the camp of Bayelsa United in Yenagoa this week.
He has stated that he has returned to the club to fight a starting place in order to improve his chances of featuring for his adopted country’s national team in future international championships.
“I should be in camp with my team-mates at Bayelsa United by Monday or unfailingly Tuesday. My mission is clear – and that is to fight for a starting line-up in the team so that I can have a good chance of playing for my country,” he said.
