Wikki Waits On Bauchi Over Bosso’s Fate

The management of Wikki Tourist having found it out that it may find difficult to institute a case against its former head coach, Ladan Bosso, has sought the help of the Bauchi State government in this regard.
Already the management of the club has officially written the Bauchi State government to assist it in handling the issue with Bosso since he was hired through the state’s sports council more than five years ago before he was seconded to Wikki Tourist.
“I think the management of Wikki Tourist Football Club have been briefed that they do not have any power over coach Ladan Bosso since they did not employ him directly. Bosso was appointed by the Bauchi State Sports Council about five years ago,” a source told Naijaligue.blogspot.com.
Naijalugue.blogspot.com also understands that Bosso, who has since moved to rival club, Niger Tornadoes, may have handed his resignation to the state’s sports council rather than the management of Wikki Tourist.
It is also believed that the 43-year-old Kogi State indigene was brought into the setup of the Bauchi sports council as a staff rather than on a contract basis as might have been believed by the officials of Wikki Tourist.
In a bid to institute a case against the former Flying Eagles’ coach before the arbitration committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) over breach of contract, the Wikki officials decided to write the Bauchi State government for clarification.
Attempts to speak to chairman of the club, Patrick Pascal, on the issue on Monday did not materialize as his telephone line rang without response.
It would be recalled the leadership of the club had mooted the idea of dragging Bosso before the NFF’s arbitration panel for allegedly terminating his contract without a formal letter, according to Wikki Tourist.
But the Niger Tornadoes’ head coach responded that he has not flouted any law binding his deal with Wikki Tourist since he appropriately handed over his resignation letter to his employer, which he did not state.
