Bees Will Remain In Premier League – Usman

In spite of losing 0 – 2 to Heartland Football Club in its Week 19 game on Sunday, Ranch Bees’ head coach, Adam Usman, is still confident that the Kaduna-based side would retain its place in the top-flight.
Ranch Bees is just three points ahead of the drop zone and occupies the 11th position on the Premier League log.
But Usman, who returned to Nigeria after a short stint as a coach to one of the clubs in the Sudanese league recently, knows that if his side drops further points in subsequent games it could find itself battling to survive in the elite division of Nigeria’s football league.
The Ranch Bees’ handler, however, admitted that the club is facing undisclosed challenges in its campaign in the top-flight, but promised that he would continue to put his squad on its toes to make sure that it achieves the feat of staying in the Premier League.
“We will not go on relegation because since I took over the team the players’ attitude has changed and that is the first step to achieving our goal of remaining in the Premier League. But we know that it is a difficult season because any team can win anywhere now and we will continue to give our best in our remaining matches.
“That we lost in Owerri against Heartland is not a big news. I am sure it would have been a big news if we beat Heartland in Owerri because they are one of the title favourites. But we are not happy that we lost there and now we are looking forward to our game against them this weekend in Kaduna and we know that it will not be easy because they are a side capable of winning matches.
“Now that we appear to be in a good position on the league, we will aim to remain in that position for as long as we can and may be throughout the season and improve on it as the season continues. There’s no doubt that we cannot overlook the challenges that the team is facing but we are ready to do our own beat on the field of play and leave the other aspect to those in charge,” Usman told Naijaligue.blogspot.com.
Usman is already looking ahead to the second part of the season, which gets underway this weekend across the country with optimism.
Ranch Bees begins the second half of the season by playing host to last season’s runner-up, Heartland FC, at the Kaduna Township and Usman wants to put spanners in the works of the Naze Millionaires by ensuring that his side claims all three points at stake.
“That is a game (against Heartland) that we must win so that we can continue to stay away from relegation. I am confident that we will beat them in Kaduna,” Usman simply said.
