Musa missed Pillars’ two other games due to his call-up to the Super Eagles Team B for the ill-fated second leg clash of the Championship for African Nations (CHAN) with Niger Republic.
Saviour, however, scored in the games against Enugu Rangers, Niger Tornadoes, Bayelsa United and Warri Wolves but fired blanks in his side’s 0 – 4 loss against Gateway Football Club.
Kano Pillars’ coach, Yusuf, is winning the award for the second time this season against the backdrop of impressive performance by his side, as he was the inaugural winner alongside Ahmad Musa in January.
In March, Yusuf edged Enyimba’s Okey Emordi to pick the Coach of the Month award while the duo of Maurice Cooreman and Solomon Ogbeide of Kaduna United and Sunshine Stars respectively lost out with just a point each.
