NFF Inaugurates New NPL Board

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Sani Lulu, is expected to inaugurate the new board of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) on Monday.
Lulu, who just returned from Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday, would perform the ceremony at the offices of the league body in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Former Rangers of Enugu boss, Davidson Owumi defeated Bayelsa United chairman, Victor Baribote Rumson, by 13 votes to four.
Owumi said that he is happy with the victory and noted that he is confident that the new board will tackle the problems of the Premier League.
"There is so much work to do and I am sure that we are capable of getting through the problems to properly reposition the Premier League in the country. There is going to be a turn around, God helping us, there is going to be a new change for the Premier League.
"The last board did very well and we are going to improve the league in all ramifications," Owumi said.
The new board has seven members with vice chairman, Shehu Gusau, Joseph Amene and Abdullahi Danbaba returning for the second term.
