One of Nigeria’s flag bearers in next year’s CAF Confederation Cup, Kaduna United, have signed two Ghanaian players ahead of the 2010/2011 season.
Top Kaduna United official, Dahiru Sadi, told MTNFootball.com that the players are Clement Coffie and Mahadi Abubakar.
Coffie, 22, is an attacking midfielder from Gamba All Stars. He has a great work rate and he is widely regarded as a quicker version of Ghana Black Stars Anthony Annan.
Abubakar is a 25-year-old striker, who is on loan to Kessben of Accra from Asec Mimosas of the Ivory Coast. He uses both legs.
According to their agent, Abbas Mohammed, both players have represented Ghana at Under-17 level.
Former Kano Pillars’ star, Ahmed Garba, aka Yaro Yaro and ex-Enyimba striker, Emeka Akueme, have been training with the Kaduna team, who won the Federation Cup in Kano last month.
Yaro Yaro has been declared surplus to requirements at hometown club, Kano Pillars, who will feature in the CAF Champions League.
Pillars had proposed the experienced forward go on a coaching course.
