Owoeri to earn $.25m per season at Ismaily

Heartland Football Club pacy attacking winger, John Owoeri, is expected to earn as much as $250,000 for a season when he finally signs the dotted lines to join Egyptian side, Ismaily, SuperSport.com scooped.
But when the player was contacted to speak on the deal in which he is expected to move to Egypt in January of 2011, he feigned ignorance.
“I don’t know anything about it (the Ismaily deal),” Owoeri, 23, hurriedly responded in a one-line sentence to SuperSport.com’s enquiry and said nothing further.
However, an Egyptian source close to the club informed that Owoeri signed a two and a half year contract that would see him earn a total of $750,000.
SuperSport.com understands that Owoeri will also be joining up with Ismaily as a free agent, as the Egyptian club will not cough out any dime to the Naze Millionaires as transfer fee.
The deal was said to have been brokered by a middleman simply called Khalil.
“I have checked the John Owoeri deal. First the guy told the club that he is free, means
Ismaily will not pay anything to Heartland. There is a broker or agent in the deal
called Khalil, he is from Nigeria.
“The player signed two and a half season starting from January 2011. The club did not reveal how much he is earning but I can tell you he will be earning 250 thousand dollars per season,” informed our source.
